I hurtled through a dark and dirty tunnel, and walked up some more steps, then down a few more. I took the train down the tracks from London to Hastings and checked out the early Gillian Ayres work a while back, because they were real abstract paintings, and fucking good. Did you see them?

P.S. I drove, actually.
